BRANT QURAN ACADEMYRegistered Private School in Ontario
BQA is a community-led, full-time Islamic elementary school where children develop a lifelong connection with the Quran, strong academic foundations, and confident Islamic character.
To nurture confident, compassionate, and capable young Muslims whose lifelong connection with the Quran guides their character, learning, and service to the wider community.
To provide children in JK/SK and Grades 1–8 with excellent Quranic and Islamic education alongside the Ontario curriculum, through caring teachers, small-group instruction, regular assessment, and a welcoming family environment.
Faith, citizenship, and belonging
Families can choose an Islamic school without worrying that their children will be separated from Canadian life. At BQA, students learn that respect for every person, kindness to neighbours, honesty, fairness, service, loving others, and sharing are deeply rooted in Islam and are essential Canadian values.
Our goal is not to make children fearful of the world around them. We prepare them to participate in it with confidence, good judgment, and strong character. If a student later moves to a public or another Ontario school, our academic program, regular assessments, and emphasis on communication help make that transition smooth.
We want BQA students to be model Canadian students and positive ambassadors of Islam—known for how well they learn, how respectfully they treat others, and how much good they bring wherever they go.
Our Story
For years, the Muslim Association of Brantford worked toward creating a school where children could receive a strong academic education while growing in Quran, faith, and Islamic character.
On the 1st of Ramadan 2024, community members found the Paris property that could become a permanent home for this vision. After many difficulties and periods of uncertainty, the purchase finally closed on January 11, 2025. By Allah’s kindness and grace, what once seemed out of reach became possible.
BQA opened its doors in September 2025 as a registered Ontario private school. We celebrated our first graduating cohort in June 2026, and on September 8, 2026, our second academic year—and a new chapter—began.
