OUR MISSION
Brant Quran Academy provides a nurturing, full-time Islamic elementary education that integrates the Ontario curriculum with Quran reading, Tajweed, memorization, and Islamic studies. Through qualified and caring educators, small-group learning, individualized one-on-one instruction, and a welcoming school community, we empower students to achieve academic excellence, strengthen their Islamic identity, develop exemplary character, and build a lifelong connection with the Quran.
About Brant Quran Academy
Brant Quran Academy is a full-time Islamic elementary school and a project of the Muslim Association of Brantford. Located at the Islamic Centre of Brant in Paris, Ontario, the Academy provides children with an education that brings together academic learning, Quranic knowledge, Islamic values, and character development.
A Vision Years in the Making
For many years, the Muslim Association of Brantford envisioned establishing an Islamic school that would serve the educational and spiritual needs of Muslim children and families in Brantford, Brant County, and the surrounding communities.
An important step toward realizing that vision came in January 2025 with the purchase of the Islamic Centre of Brant in Paris, Ontario. The Centre became the home of Brant Quran Academy and created an environment where students could learn, grow, worship, and develop a strong sense of Muslim identity and community.
In September 2025, Brant Quran Academy welcomed its first students as a full-time Islamic elementary school. Registered as a private school in Ontario, BQA teaches the Ontario curriculum alongside Quran reading, Tajweed, memorization, Islamic studies, and character development.
As we begin our second academic year in September 2026, we remain committed to building a strong educational foundation for every student entrusted to our care.
Personalized Learning in Small Groups
At Brant Quran Academy, children learn in small groups, allowing our teachers to understand each student’s strengths, needs, and stage of development. We place a strong emphasis on individualized, one-on-one instruction so that every child receives the attention and guidance needed to progress with confidence.
This personalized approach allows teachers to adjust the pace of instruction, address learning gaps, reinforce important concepts, and provide additional challenges when students are ready. It also gives students more opportunities to ask questions, practise their skills, and receive meaningful feedback.
Whether a child is developing academic foundations, improving Quranic recitation, learning Tajweed, or working on memorization, our goal is to meet the student at their current level and help them move forward step by step.
Faith and Academic Learning Together
We believe that academic excellence and Islamic development belong together. Our students receive a structured elementary education based on the Ontario curriculum while learning to understand their faith, strengthen their relationship with Allah, and apply Islamic values in everyday life.
A Nurturing School Community
Our qualified and caring educators work to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every student is respected, encouraged, and given opportunities to succeed.
We recognize that children learn in different ways and progress at different rates. Through small-group learning, personal attention, structured instruction, and close cooperation with families, we help each student grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
As a community-led project, Brant Quran Academy is supported by the shared commitment of parents, teachers, volunteers, donors, and members of the Muslim Association of Brantford. Together, we are building more than a school—we are creating a community where young Muslims can learn with confidence, practise their faith, develop meaningful relationships, and prepare for a successful future.
Looking Ahead
The establishment of Brant Quran Academy represents the fulfilment of a vision held by the Muslim Association of Brantford for many years. It also marks the beginning of a much longer journey.
As our school grows, we remain focused on providing a personalized education that prepares students for success in this life while keeping them firmly connected to their faith, values, and responsibilities.
